About us

Why Choose Hugo Morris

As with any bespoke product, the tailoring of a Hugo Morris suit made specifically for you requires a high level of detail to achieve the required look and fit most appropriate for your shape and build. We only use traditional methods for the design and construction of your suit or shirt. Whether you choose a suit or shirt for your wedding, work or pleasure, the finished garment is the result of many hours of accurate and precise skill by our tailoring team.

Our Services

A Hugo Morris suit is made to your exact specification in consultation with our skilled tailors. Our classic tailoring enables you to have suits, jackets, trousers, waistcoats and eveningwear made to your individual specifications in British and Italian cloths that suit your taste, shape and build. We ensure that your own special requirements are met and many details such as extra pockets for glasses and mobile telephones and a wide selection of linings are tailored to your wishes. Technical specifications like lapel width, jacket length and trouser bottom width are discussed at the suit design stage, so that the garment is appropriate for how you wish to wear your suit and exclusive to you.

OUR BESPOKE TAILORING PROCESS

Cloth consultation

Cloth consultation

Our service begins with a full consultation, during which you can consider and discuss the many cuts, styles and cloth fabrics Hugo Morris has to offer. Cloth selection begins with selecting the weight of the cloth appropriate for the use of your suit followed by the major style decisions such as whether to have a three, two or single button and single or double-breasted jacket and details such as double or single vent, or trousers in turns up or plain finish to name but a few.

Tailoring

Tailoring

Only traditional methods are used in the tailoring of your suit. Your suit is cut from a single piece of cloth to ensure consistency, and then crafted by skilled tailors. All our suits have a floating 4 piece chest set, and you can choose from a half canvas padded lapel or full canvas construction in your jacket.

Measure up

Measure up

Creating your bespoke suit requires up to 20 measurements. We use these measurements to build a complete profile of your body and frame so that your suit is cut precisely for your shape and posture.

First fitting

First fitting

Hugo Morris suits are normally ready for first fitting in approximately 6 weeks after you place your order. We will then contact you directly to make a 1st fitting appointment at our Brighton Showroom. Please note that further fittings are often required to ensure a perfect fit. This is perfectly normal and is all part of the bespoke tailoring experience. If your suit requires any personal style alterations we will endeavour to have these completed in the minimum amount of time. You will then be invited to return for a second fitting.
